Silent Auction

The Texas Association of Parents and Educators for the Deaf (TAPED) supports deaf education by annually awarding thousands of dollars in college and trade school scholarships to:

• Students with hearing differences, including those who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Future teachers of the deaf
• Future sign language interpreters

These scholarships are funded through donations, membership dues, and silent auctions, and this year, TAPED’s target scholarship goal is $10,000.

TAPED also sponsors the Texas Statewide Conference for Education of the Deaf (SWCED), a biennial event uniting hundreds of educators, parents, and advocates to advance deaf education and inclusion.

A silent auction will be held during SWCED. TAPED welcomes tax-deductible donations of items, gift certificates, and gift cards from businesses across Texas to help fund future scholarships. Your organization will be recognized during the conference as the contributor.

• The auction opens on June 12, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. and ends on June 26, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. 
• Items must be picked up in person between 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, or between 7:00 – 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
